"Boasting is born out of insecurity and a sense of low self esteem. It is rooted in pride and attempts to impress others. It doesn't matter how big our ministries are, nobody has the right to boast in numbers or accomplishments. This spirit of boasting robs the glory that should go to God alone and brings attention to man. There is only one thing we should boast about and that is that we know the Lord. The Lord is calling us to seek Him and to become intimate with Him so it is in Him alone that we boast. God will never withhold His presence from a heart that is totally abandoned to knowing and loving Jesus. "
