The Cross and The Switchblade, published in 1963, became a best-selling phenomenon that touched millions of people and continues to do so to this day. It birthed a ministry of writing that has grown over the years to become David Wilkerson Publications.

The Cross and The Switchblade sold more than 20 million copies and has been distributed in over 30 languages. As told in the book, a vision God gave David Wilkerson in 1958 directed him to go to New York City where he ministered powerfully among inner-city gangs.

Another vision was of apocalyptic calamities coming upon the earth. It was so terrifying and mesmerizing that Pastor Wilkerson could do nothing but fall to his knees, transfixed. God guided him to write down that vision. One year later, in 1974, The Vision was published as a book.

Among the nearly forty books David Wilkerson has written, several of the recent titles have had a prophetic message: Set the Trumpet to Thy Mouth, America's Last Call and God's Plan to Protect His People in the Coming Depression. Though these are books of warning and correction,  they focus on biblically based messages of the hope to be found in the Lord.

Some of his other books include Revival on Broadway, Hungry for More of Jesus, Have You Felt Like Giving Up Lately?, Sipping Saints, Hallowed Be Thy Names, and Triumph Through Tragedy. Another of his recent books, The New Covenant Unveiled, reveals the life-giving, sin-destroying truth of God's covenant with his people.

Our mission is to edify and equip the saints by bringing to light the God-breathed truth that is revealed in scripture. We wish to share and spread the message of Christ through the written word and other media, until it has reached the ends of the earth; to come alongside our brothers in churches and mission fields as they minister to a broken world. We believe that literature, music and filmmaking are some of the most powerful tools available to impact the nations of the world with the love and life of Christ.
